welcome

We, the Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption, Galloway, in union with our Pope and Bishop, under the patronage of Mary, the Mother of God, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We strive to do this by providing opportunities for prayer and worship, particularly the sharing of the Eucharist, the education of children and adults.

We seek to serve the spiritual, physical and social needs of others, regardless of class, gender or social concerns.

By committing ourselves to the unifying work of the Holy Spirit, we hope to grow as a community that welcomes all to serve our faith and traditions.

Pastoral Council Quartery Newsletter

What is the Pastoral Council? A group of parishioners, 10 elected, one appointed, that meets monthly to discuss parish concerns and to advise the Pastor on matters affecting the parish. Look for our pictures at the church entrances and look for the nametags we wear at parish functions. Speak to us of your questions and concerns. Consider joining us in the future! more on Pastoral Council

FULFILLING OUR VISION

O Lord our God, your Son calls His disciples to build up your Church until the end of time.
Recognizing that every good gift comes from your loving hands, we ask your continued blessing upon the project we have undertaken for the glory of your name and the good of your people.
Bless us in our labors, and those assisting us in fulfilling our vision of a new parish complex, that under your care this endeavor may be successfully completed.
Help us to realize that the sacrifices we make will ensure the continual growth of your people, the Church of the Assumption, as we proclaim the Good News of the Gospel in the community we are called to serve.
We ask this through the intercession of our patroness, Mary assumed into heaven, and in the Name of her Son and yours, Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen!
