The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic gentlemen who provide service to the church and community. Parent -Teacher Association (Assumption Regional School)
The Parent Teachers Association is a support group. First and foremost, we support the children of the Assumption Regional School district. Everything we do and everything we are about should always be done in thought of our children.
The PTA is also a support group for the parents, the teachers, and the administration. We provide support in three different ways - through financial support, through the services we provide and through our social support.
Throughout the year, the PTA sponsors various fund-raisers that help offset the tuition cost of each family. Some of the larger fund-raisers include a fall Craft Fair, a spring Fashion Show and a Golf Tournament.
The PTA continually offers social events to bring the parents together, including a Back to School Picnic, a Valentine’s Dance and a Roller Skating Party. These events welcome both adult and child fellowship for the good of our children and the school.
Another key component of the PTA is the lunch program. Each day at school, the students and staff are offered a home-cooked hot lunch. | more
The Pro-Life Committee oversees programs and projects that support the culture of life in our parish community.
The Pro-Life Committee determines the needs and interests of the parish in the pro-life area and in turn will provide a suitable variety of pro-life programs for the parish. For example: Letter Writing Campaigns, Spiritual Adoption of Unborn Babies, Pro-Life Poster/Essay Contest and ‘Baby Shower”.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults —RCIA
known most often as the R.C.I.A. is the restoration of the ancient practice of initiating adults (18 years of age and older) into the Catholic Christian community. Christian Initiation is concerned with the fundamental values of the Christian way of life, thus the R.C.I.A., is actually a sacramental process, not a program.
It is a journey of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual conversion. Along the way, R.C.I.A. team mentors and presenters, nurture this conversion process of those individuals seeking membership into the Catholic Church through their support and encouragement.
The R.C.I.A. is actually one rite divided into four periods or stages.
Period of Inquiry
Rite of Acceptance into the Order of Catechumens
and the Period of the Catechumenate
Rite of Election and the Period of Purification and Enlightenment
Initiation and Mystagogia
Baptized individuals, whether Catholic or another religion, seeking full reception into the Catholic Church. also journey through the Catechumenal process, although distinctions are made in the celebrations of the rites.
Contact the rectory at (609) 965-4021 for more information to begin your journey of faith.
Vacation Bible School is held every summer for one week. Children 4 years and up are invited to join in the fun of learning “God is Word”.
We explore the Bible through experiences such as crafts, videos, singing, dancing, listening to stories, and interactive experiences. Teen and parent volunteers enjoy this adventure as much as the children do.
Children's Liturgy of the Word occurs during the 9:00Am Mass on Sundays.
The Assumption Women’s Prayer Group meets for prayer and recitation of the rosary. The group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00PM in Mary House. The meeting usually lasts for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Light refreshments are served after the meeting.
The Assumption Women’s Prayer Group is open to women of all ages, and newcomers are always welcome.
